Weighted pieces feel robust in hand, slide smoothly, and are extremely stable, preventing them from tipping over during blitz matches.

For traditional contrasting boards, we use Maple or Boxwood for light squares, and solid Sheesham, Rosewood, or Walnut for dark squares. Ebonized Boxwood (wood treated to mirror genuine Ebony) provides the ultimate jet-black luxury aesthetic while retaining standard hardwood durability.
